Today was a pretty boring day and I loved every second of it.
Jay and I both did some work on the job search, but mostly just enjoyed being in each other's company. Some couples drive each other crazy the more that they are together, but not us. After so much time of never having more than one common day of the week together we are very glad to just be near each other. I think that the stress of losing our jobs was really tough, especially since it was a long drawn out process of a month or so. We knew that the company was going under sooner or later and we were prepared for it, but that didn't make it any easier for us. Like so many people at our work, we had both put a lot of energy and pride into the work that we did and to have it all end in such a bad way was tough on us.
She has a lot of really great opportunities and I am starting to get an idea of what is out there now too.
We went to Costco for lunch with Dee today to get out of the apartment. After that we came home and played Rayman Origins, which is an amazing game with an incredible 2D art style. Although I love the look of it I am glad that there are not more companies doing work out there like this. It is really refreshing to see side scrollers done right!
Not too much to report today... Dee Dee is looking depressed and forlorn and can't wait to go to San Diego this weekend.
